How will my goods arrive?
Goods will be lifted off the vehicle using a vehicle mounted crane or a vehicle mounted fork lift truck. The vehicle will not be able to leave the highway. We will deliver your goods as close to your address as possible, which is generally kerb side at the front of the property. If you require the driver to leave the road you may have to sign an off road damage liability form.
Can you lift bulk bags over walls and fences?
YES! So long as we get close enough to the desired lift point with the vehicle we can easily do this for you. Please note we can't drive on the pavement or onto property not owned by you in order to do this.
Can I set a delivery time?
You can specify AM or PM delivery. AM is between 8am and 1pm and PM is between 12 noon and 6pm. All our delivery vehicles are fitted with GPS tracking - so we can always tell you where your delivery is. If you need us to call you a set time before the driver arrives, this is no problem. Just request this in the comments box at check out and we will be happy to call you before.
Do I have to be there to accept the delivery?
Yes. We advise customers to be present during the delivery. If you are not present the goods will be left at the kerb side. If in doubt please give us a call.
How big is the vehicle that will be delivering my order?
Vehicles may be up to 28 tonnes gross weight. Please be aware of this when ordering. Please consider width restrictions, parked cars, trees etc when ordering and advise us of any issues. Please note that skip trucks and bin trucks often have a narrow track body and although you may have had a large vehicle to the premises before it may not mean our vehicle will be able to access so please check when ordering. If your access route is less than 3.5m wide we would ask that you contact our office before you order.
When is the depot open for collections?
Please see our opening times here. Please pre-order collections to ensure that stock is allocated to avoid disappointment.
What about delivery fees?
Delivery is included in our prices during check out.
How can I pay?
You can pay for your order online using a debit or credit card. We also accept Pay Pal. We do not accept payment on delivery.
How do I cancel my order?
Cancellations must be made before 48 HOURS BEFORE the delivery date. Same day orders cannot be cancelled. Where card payment has been taken there will be a charge of £10 to refund your card.
Do you offer a laying service?
Yes, please contact our office on 0161 736 2255. We only offer this service within Greater Manchester.
How much product is in a Bulk bag?
A bulk bag contains approximately 0.8m³ volume of product. The weight will vary depending on the product. In the case of soil and stone products we always ensure there is 1000kg of product in the bag.
Do we deliver on a Saturday?
Yes. And we dont charge you any extra for it either! (during April - September, please see our opening times as we have seasonal opening hours.)
Do we deliver on Sunday?
No.
Can you advise me on after care?
Yes we would be happy to advise all our customers, please see the lawn care section which is updated on a regular basis.
Do you offer credit accounts?
Yes, we offer credit accounts subject to application. Please contact Simon on 0161 736 2255 for an application form.
Do I need to return bulk bags or pallets when empty?
No - we highly recommend customers either recycle the empty bags and pallets responsibly or make use of them - in winter for example when clearing leaves or hedge clippings bulk bags are very useful!
